Five awards (300 euros each) supported by the Excellence Initiative –IDEX of Bordeaux University, were given during the DINO11 meeting.

- The Best student poster award (in Session 1: modern dinoflagellates), obtained by: PAVAUX Anne-Sophie, UPMC - CNRS (LOV), FRANCE 
 
- The Best student poster award (in Session 2: fossil dinoflagellates), obtained by: KROECK David, Evo-Eco-Paléo -Université de Lille, FRANCE
